The world's supremely tough mountain bike race
The 2024 HERO Series kicks off from the summits of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world.
Aspiring Titan HEROes will have to face this first, great challenge by competing on the 86 km and 4,200 hm course on the Sella massif.
Cyclists will have to tackle demanding climbs, technical downhills, and different types of terrain across the four Ladin valleys of the Sellaronda and the Seiser Alm. A challenge which will push all participants, amateurs and pros alike, to their limits – a veritable test of their mental and physical stamina, the hallmarks of true heroes!

The BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites takes place in Selva Val Gardena, in South Tyrol, Italy’s northernmost province. The Val Gardena valley is an internationally renowned ski, bike and trekking area surrounded by the spectacular Dolomites rock towers, a UNESCO World Heritage since 2009. The famous alpinist Reinhold Messner once said: “The Dolomites are not the highest mountains in the world, but definitely the most beautiful ones."
TEMPERATURES
The temperature in June in the Dolomites is between 6° - 20° C; the climate is cooler at an altitude above 2,000 metres.

86KM AND 4,500 HM | 71 KM AND 4,100 HM | 60 KM AND 3,200 HM
The 2024 edition will also feature three routes of 86, 71 and 60 kilometres with, respectively, 4,500, 4100 and 3,200 metres of elevation gain, stretching across the magnificence of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage.

To classify for the overall ranking of the 2024 HERO Series, cyclists will have to compete and finish the HERO Dolomites’ long course for men and short course for women:
Men course: 86 KM / 4,500 HM
Women course: 60 KM / 3.200 HM

In June 2024, the HERO ZERO VILLAGE will be crowded with stands of all the event partners. It is a space dedicated to the mountain bike and its ongoing evolution. Here you have the chance to test all the new products and accessories of the bike world.

2024 HERO SERIES: PRIZE MONEY
The 2024 HERO Series boasts a total jackpot of € 15,000 for UCI athletes and teams as well as for amateurs. The prize and title will be awarded on 22 September 2024 during the final award ceremony of the third HERO Series stage at the BikeSide Einsiedeln in Switzerland.
THE HEROES WELCOME PACK
Ideal for both training and your downtime
Everyone who will take part in the 2024 HERO Südtirol Dolomites will get a Welcome Pack. Besides the now traditional Alé Cycling jersey, the 2024 Pack will also contain a practical, HERO-branded microfibre Sport Towel set featuring two towels. Ideal for both training and your downtime, it will become a trusted companion on many of your outings.
HERO KIDS
LITTLE CHAMPS DREAM TO BECOME HEROES
The HERO KIDS 2024 is a non-agonistic race for children from 4 to 12 years of age. The race is intended to allow youngsters who may become tomorrow’s champions to take part in a mountain bike race especially for them. The route is not particularly demanding.

REGISTRATION
All kids between 4 and 12 years of age are welcome to take part in this race.
Maximum number of participants is 500 kids.
Registration fee: € 25.00
The fee includes a Welcome Pack with the Jersey Alè HERO Dolomites Kids, a HERO Kids cap and a bag - nice souvenirs of a unique event for your young ones.
COLLECTION RACE PACKAGE
The registration fee includes a race package with a HERO Kids 2024 jersey, and a HERO Kids cap.
The race package can be picked up in the ice stadium Pranives in Selva on Thursday 13th of June 2024 from 10am to 8pm or on Friday 14th of June 2024 from 10am to 2.30 pm.
THE HERO KIDS WELCOME PACK
Our cyclists ‘competing’ in the HERO KIDS will also receive a dedicated Welcome Pack. They can wear their Alé cycling jersey as well as an adorable HERO cap as they explore the streets of Selva Val Gardena during their mini ‘marathon’.
