The Swiss Bike Hot Spot
Sweat-inducing marathon routes, action-packed fun trails, spectacular enduro races and a bike village with breathtaking shows and delicious street food: this is the IRON Bike Race, part of the BikeSide MTB Festival in Einsiedeln.
The temperatures of Einsiedeln in September are usually mild, between 9° and 17° C.
Men and women both start on the IRON BIKE RACE LONG course with a distance of 83 kilometers and 3,130 meters of altitude to overcome (1 large round and 1 small round).

Spectacular jump shows, challenges, lots of delicious food and various exhibitors with the best and latest that the bike scene has to offer - that's what awaits you in the Bike Village in front of Einsiedeln Monastery. The shows and happenings at Bike Village 2023 were hosted by former professional cyclist and event presenter Franco Marvulli.
€ 15,000 jackpot
The 2024 HERO Series boasts a total jackpot of € 15,000 for UCI athletes and teams as well as amateurs. The prize and title will be awarded on 22 September 2024 during the final Prize Giving Ceremony during the BIKE SIDE EINSIEDELN FESTIVAL (SUI).
